The Ministry of Justice – State of Qatar outlines the areas and regulations governing real estate ownership and usufruct by non-Qataris, in accordance with the laws and decisions regulating the real estate sector.
The designated areas include a number of locations across Qatar, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (28) of 2020 concerning the determination of areas where non-Qataris may own and usufruct real estate, as well as the applicable conditions, regulations, benefits and procedures.
The designated areas are divided into areas where ownership is permitted and areas where usufruct rights may be granted for up to 99 years, subject to the applicable conditions and regulations.
The Ministry of Justice also provides for the ownership of subdivided units in residential complexes, as well as subdivided offices and shops in commercial malls and complexes, subject to the applicable regulations and procedures.
The Ministry of Justice provides specialized services through a one-stop process for completing procedures related to non-Qatari real estate ownership and usufruct and obtaining the related benefits.
